awesome - keep us informed

How does a XV535 read wheel fit with the XS shaftdrive ? Would I have a chance to put a XV wheel into my original XS 750 (to get spokes like the GX 750) ?

Cheers

well the yamaha xv 535 virago driveshaft fits easy to the yamaha xs750 motor.
it was just a litle mod (a lill machining on the lathe) and it mounted together.
it's longer to, so I got some nice stretch in my frame.

Because i did go this way I don't know if the xv 535 wheel goes on the stock xs750 final drive.

That frame is really unique - I like it besides the fact, that I like more sports bikes.
Do you bend the tubes on your own ? Do you have a conceptionally drawing or do you build your bike out of inspiration ?

unique is exactly what I'm looking for. I would really hate it wen I'm a a light and exactly the same bike rolls up next to me.
I didn't make anny plans, just bought a 535 with a bad motor and got me an other xs motor.
I put the motor on the table lined up the rear wheel and started bending the tubes an weld them together.
later I put up the front end line it out and welded the neck on. it's a bit looking how stuff lines up ans what looks good............

now I'm putting on a solo seat and tank, the ignition coils are on covered by the stock xs750se tank
this morning I had a key made by the gas cap lock by a local lock smith

Is that a single center tube, I see on the pic - or is it the rear tube and the front tube is not mounted yet ?

In Germany you would never get such a self made thing on the road - at least you would have to pay a fortune

What fork will you use ? Self made too ? Oh, just saw the fork on the first picture - is it the XV 535 fork ?

yes, it's a single backbone, i'm gonne make it (il)legal with the old xs750se vinumber I have licenseplates for, thats why the xs750 neck is there.
we can do it official over here, register a home build bike (only part you have to build or have build for you is the frame), but I don't wanne go that way, to much problems to make it legal (noise and stuff like that), to much costs.
I'm gonne use it to ride around town etc.
later on I want a home made girder or springer front end for this bike and there arew more future plans..............first I wanne get it ridable.

for riding longer distance i'll grab my 1993 triumph sprint 900 or my 1999 sporty (need to put a belt on and prob. more after 2 years)
